Rules (terms and conditions)
  1. Promoter: Skillpedia Ltd, 16 Westway, Oxford OX2 0JH, United Kingdom (eskillpedia.net).
  2. Who can enter: children aged 6 to 12 living in the UK, entered by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.
  3. Dates: the challenge opens at 00:00 on Monday 26 October 2026 and closes at 23:59 (UK time) on Sunday 22 November 2026. Prize claims must be emailed by 23:59 on Sunday 29 November 2026.
  4. How to enter: choose the age band for the child's age on the opening date, then answer 20 multiple-choice puzzles within 25 minutes, in one sitting. Each child receives a different mix of puzzles of the same kinds and difficulty, chosen at random from a large bank.
  5. One entry per child. The child must answer on their own. A grown-up may read the questions aloud to children aged 6–7 but must not help with the answers.
  6. Marking: answers are marked automatically; each correct answer scores 1. There is no negative marking. The marking is final.
  7. Awards: 17–20 correct: Distinction; 13–16: Merit; every finisher: Certificate of achievement. Certificates are given on screen straight away and can be saved.
  8. Prizes: every Distinction claimed by the deadline wins one printable Skillpedia book (PDF) chosen by the parent from the shop at eskillpedia.net, sent by email within 14 days of the claim. The school with the highest average score from at least 10 claimed entries wins a one-year printing licence for every Skillpedia book for one teacher's class, plus a school certificate. There is no cash alternative.
  9. How to claim: email the claim code shown on the results screen, the child's first name and initial, the age band and (for the school award) the school's name to info@eskillpedia.net. Only the parent or guardian may claim.
  10. Checks: Skillpedia may ask a Distinction winner to do a short second paper online, with a grown-up present, before sending a prize. Claim codes that do not match a valid result, and entries that break these rules, will not receive a prize.
  11. Your data: this page sends nothing while your child plays; the name stays on your device. When you email a claim we use your email address and the details you send only to check the claim, send the prize and tell schools their results. We keep them for 12 months and never use them for marketing unless you separately ask to hear from us. Winners are not published by name; school results may be published by school name only, and only for schools with at least 10 entries.
  12. Changes: Skillpedia may change or cancel the challenge only for reasons beyond its control, and will then announce it on eskillpedia.net. Awards already won will still be given.
  13. These rules are governed by the law of England and Wales.
