Skillpedia Referral Programme — Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to the Skillpedia referral programme (the “Programme”) run by Skillpedia Ltd, 16 Westway, Oxford OX2 0JH, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By sharing your referral link or code you agree to them. They are in addition to our website terms and privacy notice.

1. Who can take part

  1. The Programme is open to distributors we invite or accept (for example schools, tutors, parent groups and partners). Only distributors get a referral link and earn rewards. You need a Skillpedia account with a confirmed email address, and you must be 18 or over.
  2. Our employees, contractors and their households, and schools or tutors buying under a separate agreement with us, cannot earn rewards unless we agree in writing.
  3. Taking part is free. We may refuse or end anyone’s participation if they break these terms.

2. Who counts as a referred friend

  1. A “Referred Friend” is a person, aged 18 or over, who did not already have a Skillpedia account or a previous purchase, and who either (a) creates their account within 30 days of opening your personal referral link, or (b) enters your referral code before their first purchase.
  2. Each Referred Friend can be linked to one referrer only: the first valid link or code used counts. A referral cannot be added or changed afterwards.
  3. You cannot refer yourself, another account of yours, or anyone in your own household using the same payment details.

3. Rewards

  1. Book and bundle purchases: 10% of the amount paid for each of your Referred Friend’s first 25 paid orders.
  2. Plans (subscriptions): 15% of the amount paid for each of your Referred Friend’s first 25 plan payments. Free trials do not earn a reward; only payments actually taken count.
  3. Percentages are worked out on the amount the Referred Friend actually paid, after any discounts, and converted into pounds sterling at the rate used for that payment. A fixed reward is never more than the amount paid.
  4. Only payments made within 12 months of the Referred Friend creating their account earn a reward.
  5. Rewards are paid in money as described below. They are not transferable and have no other cash alternative.

4. Holding period and cancellations

  1. A reward shows as “Pending” for 30 days after the payment, then becomes “Approved” if the payment has not been refunded, disputed or charged back.
  2. If a payment is refunded, disputed or charged back, the reward for it is cancelled. If it was already paid out, we may deduct it from your later rewards.

5. Payouts

  1. When your approved rewards reach at least £20.00, you can ask for a payout in My account › Refer & earn. Payouts are made by PayPal, UK bank transfer to the details you give us, normally within 30 days of your request.
  2. Please make sure your payout details are correct: we are not responsible for payments sent to details you entered wrongly.
  3. You are responsible for any tax due on your rewards.
  4. Approved rewards that have not been requested within 12 months, or rewards on an account that is closed, may expire after we have given you at least 30 days’ notice by email.

6. Sharing your link fairly

  1. Share your link personally (for example with friends, family, or on your own social media). Be honest about Skillpedia and do not make claims we do not make.
  2. Do not send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, post your link on coupon, voucher or cashback websites, bid on “Skillpedia” or similar search terms in paid adverts, or pretend to be Skillpedia.
  3. Do not create fake or multiple accounts, or use any automated or misleading way to get referrals.

7. Fraud and misuse

  1. If we reasonably believe the Programme has been misused (for example self-referral, fake accounts or breaking section 6), we may withhold or cancel rewards, close your participation, and ask for rewards already paid to be returned.
  2. Our decision on whether a referral qualifies is final, but you can always contact us if you think we have made a mistake.

8. Changes and ending the Programme

  1. We may change these terms, the rewards, or end the Programme at any time. Changes do not affect rewards for payments made before the change.
  2. If we end the Programme, approved rewards of at least £20.00 will still be paid on request for 60 days.

9. Your information

  1. We use referral information only to run the Programme, as described in our privacy notice. Distributors see only a Referred Friend’s first name and last initial, a partly hidden email address, when they joined, and the number and type of their purchases — never their contact details, payment details or what they bought.

10. General

  1. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Our liability for the Programme is limited to the value of rewards properly due to you.
